19th Century French Fauteuil

A beautiful 19th Century carved wooden fauteuil from France, with original paintwork, recovered in a gorgeous vintage hand woven linen. It has wonderful flower motifs on the top, base and legs, and its patina is finished in a buttery cream with signs of the original gilt underneath. The frame is characteristically distressed due to age, but this only adds to its charm. A beautiful piece for a beautiful home.
